Engineering ... 2D Shape!

I've gotten WAY behind with uploading pictures, so I'm going to try my VERY BEST to get 3 posts up this week! A few weeks ago, like in November, Kindergarten did an engineering project where they made different 2D shapes! They used popsicle sticks, toothpicks and marshmallows to make their shapes. They weren't told how to get them put together, just that they needed to use sticks, marshmallows, and be able to hold it up in the air without it falling apart. They did a pretty good job!

We will have early release Friday, November 17, 2016 due to our football team playing in Big Spring against Breckenridge at 7:00. Our campus will be dismissing at 1:10 p.m.

Thanksgiving Lunch!

Don't forget to come eat Thanksgiving lunch with your kiddos this week!

Kindergarten and 2nd grade will have their Thanksgiving lunches Wednesday, November 16.

Pre-K and 1st grade will have their Thanksgiving lunches Thursday, November 17. 

Sensational Snack Day!

It's that time of year again when 2nd Grade is sponsoring their first Snack Day! 2nd holds this snack day to go along with their Financial Literacy Unit in math!

They will be selling pickles for 50 cents ...

They will be selling popcorn for 50 cents ...

They will be selling pixie-sticks for 50 cents ...

They will be selling Hi-C for 50 cents ...

Since 2nd grade is learning about finances and will be in charge of each booth and making change, please send coins or small bills with your child to school.

Once students get their snacks, they will bring them into SSTEAM class to enjoy while they watch a musical movie.

Thank you for sending money with your children so they can help out 2nd Grade and participate in their Financial Literacy Project!
