Sequencing

In Social Studies this week, the kids practiced sequencing events. Monday, we talked as a group about all of the different parts of our day. We tried to keep them in order as much as possible, but there's just so much going on in 1 day!

Tuesday we used our schedule sequencing cards to put our daily schedule in order. We put the cards at the bottom of our big pocket chart, then I called kids one at a time to come up and see if they could find the next part of our day. It's fun to see the kids' faces when I put all of the cards up. They can't believe we have that many different things we do in a day!

Wednesday, the kids got into 2 groups and raced with their own sets of daily schedule cards to see who could get our daily schedule in the right order the fastest.

And the winning group was ...
