Happy New Year! This week in reading and writing, we did a couple of New Year stations (and talked about good resolutions for the classroom that everyone could do). The kids had sight word races, learned about compound words, wrote and made sentences with sight words, put New Year words in alphabetical order, read a new decodable for the week, wrote about their resolutions, played on the iPads, segmented and blended words and changed letters in words to make new words.
