THIS
WEEK IN SCIENCE:
In science this week,
we will continue our Unit on Earth and its Resources. We will be moving on from
looking at looking at rapid changes in Earth’s surface and the effect that
Earth’s rapid changed have to conserving our resources. We will be looking at
● how natural resources are useful at home, school
and in the community
● ways that we can save natural resources at home,
school and in the community
● the 7 different types of natural resources and how
they are used by humans
● the characteristics of natural resources and ways
we can conserve them
NASA's Climate Kids –
Navigate through the different activities on the energy page to learn about
fossil fuels, what materials are helpful or harmful to our environment, what we
can do to help the Earth, about renewable energy, going green, and recycling!
PBS Kids Science Games –
Navigate through the different activities on the PBS Kids Science page to play
games about the environment! The kids have been shown where to find this link
to PBS Kids on our class blog page and how to find our embedded Symbaloo.
BrainPOP
Natural Resources – Place this sorting
game on BrainPOP (big BrainPOP, not BrainPOP, Jr) and match resources into
categories. This goes right along with what we will be doing on Monday.
More websites and
links can be found on our class blog page on our Symbaloo. This is embedded on
the Technology Station page.
Thank you so much for your dedication to helping your child learn.
