Friday we celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday! While I'm lacking in pictures from stations, I was able to get a few of some of the kids eating their green eggs and ham at breakfast and our class under the big "Welcome to Who-ville" sign that Mrs. Nix made for our hallway.
While they ate their green eggs in ham in the cafeteria, they got to watch a Dr. Seuss movie!
After breakfast we came back to the room and the kids did their morning stations. One station was matching rhyming words and pictures. Another station was matching to pictures that rhymed (like frog and dog). Their third station was matching the ending sounds of words together. At another table they colored their Dr. Seuss hats and filled in different beginning sounds to make rhyming words. At my table I painted a nose and whiskers on faces and we mixed our goop ingredients together making them different colors.

In the afternoon, we came back to the room and read Green Eggs and Ham, then made green deviled eggs! We ate those and the cupcakes Ms. Johnson brought while we watched Horton Hear's a Who.

Thanks to Ms. Johnson for Cat in the Hat's hat cupcakes!
