On Halloween, the kids got to dress up in their Halloween costumes all day. First think in the morning, we had a Halloween parade through the halls of the school and then in the gym. The high school band came and played songs for us and the kids sang their own song about staying drug free.
The rest of the day we did different fun stations in the classroom. We bobbed for apples, made caramel apples, cleaned out and carved a pumpkin, made spoon puppets that word Halloween costumes, decorated cookies and ... DID A SCIENCE EXPERIMENT WITH DRY ICE!!!

Talking about our pumpkin: where it came from, what it is, what we can do it with it |

I love this reaction! |
In the afternoon, we invited all of the other kindergarten classes over in 3 different groups and did some cool experiments with dry ice! I think it was hands down everyone's favorite part of the day! Since I was running the experiments in all three classes, I have to get pictures from those teachers. I'll post them when I get pictures from them. I know Mrs. Lowe has posted a couple on facebook.
After we did our experiments with dry ice, we decorated Halloween cookies that were in the shapes of bats, ghosts and pumpkins with different colored icing that we dyed.

Happy Halloween! |
