This week in reading and writing, the kids practiced matching words to their word families, building words by changing middle sounds in words, sorting letters, words and sentences, and practicing writing the sight word "you".
For matching words to word families, the kids used kinaras and candles and matched the right word family candles and kinaras. One day they just practiced and compared with their neighbors. Another day, they wrote their word family matched on their record sheet.
