Hispanic History Month!

This year, I had my students do a poster project for Hispanic History Month. It went great! They had four individuals to choose from: Sonia Sotomayor, Pablo Picasso, Ellen Ochoa and Cèsar Chavez. Each week during Hispanic History Month, we discussed a different person. The kids took pictures as the different people each week we studies them (I had a hard time figuring out how we could take a picture like Cèsar Chavez so there was not one dressed like him ... ideas are welcome!).

At the end of the lesson they took home a poster with a head circle cut out and had to create the person on their poster along with things that described that person. They had one week to get their projects completed and then bring them back to school to present to the class. Everyone did FANTASTIC!

All of the poster projects after presentations (which they also did AMAZINGLY!)
