Our homework for the first week of school is to put together a paper meter tape. We will be using this in class the second week of school to help us with conducting investigations throughout the school year!
You child will receive their paper meter tape Monday the first week of school and have until the following
Monday, August 27 to bring this back to school. Below is my meter tape that I made to keep in my science notebook.
Mine is on yellow paper, but your child can color it however they want to!Last year, I colored each group of 10 a different color so I could easily see each decimeter.

You will want to cut the dotted line at the beginning of the 20, 40, 60 and 80 sections. It will be glued over the tens place of each number at the end of the previous strip. |

Glue each section together, making sure to have the numbers in sequential order. |
