Red Ribbon Week Math Stations

During Red Ribbon Week/Halloween Week, the kids did math stations that practiced using two sets of pictures to make numbers, using candy corn to match numbers on Halloween character cards, using spiders to show the number on number cards up to 10, and practicing connecting the dots in order for numbers 1-10.

At my table this week, the kids used Halloween trick-or-treat bag mats and pieces of Halloween candy to create story problems and add the different candies together.

At their second station, the kids used different Halloween Monster mats that had numbers on them between 1 and 10. They each had their own bag of candy corn they used to make teeth or fill in the circles on each mat that matched the number shown.

At their third station, the kids used spiders and ten-frames to build numbers on cards.

At their fourth station, the kids connected the dots from numbers 1 to 10 to make a jack-o-lantern.
